Off the heels of their opening of 12 Stories in Washington DC last week, the Gerber Group will be operating The Pool Bar and Observation Deck at the highly anticipated TWA Hotel (as well as The Sunken Lounge!) opening May 15.

Always refreshing, the water in the 63-by-20-foot infinity edge pool offers a much-needed respite during sweltering summers. Come winter, it turns into a pool-cuzzi — the water can be heated up to 100 degrees! Whatever the weather, the H2O is perpetually pristine: the highly filtered water is purified every 30 minutes (a standard pool recirculates every 6 hours!).

Inspired by the infinity edge pool at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France, the swimming spot has a beach entry and underwater seating — not to mention a gleaming TWA logo mosaic in the signature colors of gold and red. And its view tops the Mediterranean Sea any day: The infinity pool and its 10,000-square-foot observation deck sits on the horizon of a thrilling scene — JFK’s bustling Runway 4 Left/22 Right, with views all the way to Jamaica Bay.

In addition to a variety of cocktails — from the Mile High Spritz (vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, fresh lime juice and prosecco) to the Watermelon Collins (Aviation gin, watermelon and lemon juices, agave and club soda) — Gerber Group will serve food from a full rooftop kitchen.
