Felice15GoldStreet.comBrightening up the Financial District: Felice 15 Bleecker August 3, 2015 American, Breakfast, Dinner, Featured, Financial District, Italian, Lunch, Reviews, Wine Finding good food in the Financial District is like finding a needle in a haystack. Tough to do, but when you finally come across it, it’s totally worth the search. On my lazy Sunday night, festivities consisting of prowling Seamless and binge watching Netflix, I came across that needle, Felice 15. As soon as I saw the menu I knew that I’d have to give it a try, but this was somewhere I wanted to sit down and dig into, not just order in delivery. I patiently waited until one of my friends was available and went there for lunch a few days later. Let the Food Begin at Felice 15 We started out with the Vegetarian Panini; this consists of eggplant, zucchini and Burrata pressed to perfection. The mix of the ingredients is perfect and it’s on a thick and crunchy twelve-grain baguette. Stressed about what to get next, we finally decided that we would split two dishes. The first dish we opted for was the Fusilli al Ferretto. The homemade pasta was fresh and it was served in a San Marzano tomato sauce topped with Burrata. I’ve always been intrigued by this dish but have never sprung to get it. Finally I made the move and ordered it, proceeding with caution and only getting the small size. Cacio e Pepe is for the less adventurous eater. It consists of spaghetti with black pepper, pecorino cheese, olive oil and butter topped with a “Parmesan cheese basket”. My mouth was pleasantly surprised with this dish as it was filled strong and cheesy flavors (which made me wish I got the larger size). Seeing as Felice 15 is in FiDi, most people there were having business lunch on the company card. I’d have to admit that I felt a little out of place in my boyfriend jeans giggling with my friend. Nevertheless, I did not let this hinder my dining experience and would still recommend it to anyone whose ever down in my hood. Even if you’re not down in FiDi and reading this has made you hungry, they have two other locations Felice 64 and Felice 83 both located on the Upper East Side.
