Back for a Second Year in Brooklyn – The Wellness Market Bleecker April 23, 2015 Brooklyn, Health, Lifestyle, Neighborhoods, NYC Happenings, NYC Services The weather is officially getting warmer, meaning there is no better time to be outside! One of my favorite outdoor activities is visiting outdoor markets filled with local artisans and entrepreneurs creating and selling unique products. This year, one market that stands out amongst the rest is The Wellness Market because of its focus on health and wellness. Start-Up at The Wellness Market The Wellness Market is back for their second year in hopes of becoming an even bigger success this year. As a start up themselves, they know the struggles and hardships that come along with starting and growing a business. With The Wellness Market they aim to open doors to startups with a cause and guide them in the right direction to be successful. The Wellness Market’s Spring/Summer kicks off this Saturday, April 25th, in honor of Earth Day weekend. It is being held at Kalahari Gallery & Garden, an exciting location on Fulton St. in Brooklyn. The Wellness Market, which will run every last Saturday of the month, will provide various healthy options to the community. The mission behind The Wellness Market is to help build businesses, specifically Holistic Entrepreneurs, who share a passion for spreading health awareness to local communities. They will feature health conscious, organic, eco-friendly, and vegan vendors who promote wellness all around. The Wellness Market Begins April 25th And as a special treat this Saturday April 25th, if you’re one of the first 25 guests to arrive at The Wellness Market, you will receive a free Wellness Gift Bag with some fun goodies from the market’s sponsors. There will be music, food, and lots of good holistic shopping, you don’t want to miss out! This is definitely family-friendly, so parents bring your kids! There will be vegan face painting, as well as an organic arts and crafts stand, and even a puppet show! Mocktails will be provided by Dlo Infusion Bar and plenty of delicious vegan food and baked goods will be available for purchase! Attendees will also get the chance to have a Henna done right there at the market. From All natural and organic body essentials to vegan accessories to organic arts & crafts for kids and vegan food/baked goods, there will surely be something for everyone!
