Hudson Station Bar & Grill Bleecker October 5, 2014 Brunch, Dinner, Lunch, Reviews The Hudson Station Bar & Grill is conveniently located a few blocks away from the New York Penn Station, which makes it a regular hang out spot for my roommates and I. It’s a train ride away from campus and the food is scrumptious and inexpensive. We love the atmosphere, and the great employees just add to the overall charm. The restaurant has a welcoming feel to it, from the friendly and polite hostess, to the funny, easy going waiters. It was designed to appeal to a much older crowd, but we still get the same level of respect and attentiveness that they receive. Unlike a few restaurants that we have visited, they don’t see us as “struggling college students”, who may or may not be able to leave a good tip, but as regular customers that they need to attend to with the best of their abilities. They have a wide variety of food choices that are guaranteed to fill you up, because of the large portions in which they are served. You can imagine my surprise, when I ordered a starter and an entrée, but I couldn’t tell the difference because both plates were packed with food, needless to say I had leftovers for a week. And can we talk about the Nachos? They describe their cheese as Liquid Gold…what else can you say about that! Besides the fact that the portion was gigantic everything in the Nachos was fresh and crisp…you can almost taste them. Though, I had way too much to eat I couldn’t pass up on desert, and I’m glad I didn’t because the cookie smash was heaven on earth. This is served in a skillet with warm cookie dough as the base, and vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and hot fudge piled on top. My experience with this restaurant was very satisfactory and I would recommend it to anyone. Hudson Station Bar & Grill 449 9th Avenue, New York, NY 10001 212-244-4406 www.HudsonStation.com
