UrbanSpace Vanderbilt Opens this Week in Midtown Bleecker September 16, 2015 Behind the Kitchen, Breakfast, Brunch, Dinner, Featured, Hot Spots, Lunch, Midtown, NYC Experiences, NYC Store, Pop Ups, Vegetarian The innovators behind UrbanSpace, known for their seasonal outdoor pop-up markets around New York City and London, open their first permanent food hall in New York City this week: UrbanSpace Vanderbilt. If you’re like me, always chasing the outdoor markets around town like UrbanSpace’s other properties: Madison Square Eats, Penn Plates and Broadway Bites you can now rest easy that there is a permanent brick and mortar market that you can visit rain or shine – all year round. UrbanSpace Vanderbilt is centrally located in Midtown, right near Grand Central Station at Vanderbilt and 45th Street. The Doors are Open at the UrbanSpace Vanderbilt As you enter the contemporary industrial food hall you are immediately greeted with a delightfully intoxicating aroma of Sigmund’s pretzels and Ovenly’s baked goods. As you make your way past the seemingly endless sea of vendors, choosing where to eat first becomes quite a difficult decision. But for me, it’s the best kind of dilemma to have. At the UrbanSpace Vanderbilt you will find anything from lobster rolls by Red Hook Lobster Pound to Japanese-inspired Mexican by Takumi Taco to the famous mouthwatering pizza by veteran vendor Roberta’s. You’ll also find the famous Dough doughnuts and crepes by Bar Suzette. Now you can see what I mean by dilemma.
