One thing I love about the city is that there is always something going on. Especially in the summer, with the weather finally warm, you can always find something fun to do, but how do you decide which is worth it? Here are my top picks for NYC summer events and activities coming up!

 1.Taste of Times Square – June 1st

On Monday, June 1 from 5-9 pm, Times Square will be taken over by over 40 of the best restaurants offering their finest tastes from around the globe. There will be live music at this NYC Summer Event.

Admission to this NYC Summer Event is free, but each “taste” ticket is $1 with dishes ranging from $1-$6. Tickets available for purchase on the day of and online at www.timessquarenyc.org/Taste

2. Adventures NYC – June 20th

On Saturday, June 20 from 11am-5:30pm, Central Park will be offering all sorts of activities completely free! Activities at this NYC Summer Event will include:

  • Log-rolling
  • Stand-Up Paddleboarding
  • Rock Climbing
  • Bike Helmet Giveaway, courtesy of NYC DOT
  • Wheelchair Basketball
  • Biking
  • Outdoor Gear Exhibits
  • Free Bike Valet Parking

3. Summer Stage Presents Smorgasburg Central Park July 31st

Smorgasburg is returning to Central Park for a NYC Summer Event! After a successful trial run last year, the renowned Brooklyn food market is back for one summer night only. Eat and drink specialties from 25 of our favorite food vendors under the evening stars, grab a couple beers or sip a glass of wine, and enjoy some outdoor tunes in the greatest park in the world.

Tickets are $10, which includes a $5 food voucher at the door.

4. Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair – June 6th-27th

Every Saturday in June, at the lovely East River State Park, there will be a series of Renegade Craft Fair Pop-Ups showcasing a curated selection of today’s best independent Makers. Don’t forget to stop by their neighbor, Smorgasburg.

5. NYC Summer Event in Times Square – June 21st

Find some inner peace, in the heart of NYC, join thousands of yogis on Time Square’s pedestrian plazas for a FREE outdoor yoga class stretching five full city blocks. Plus, you’ll even receive a yoga mat courtesy of Athleta.

6. New Music Bryant Park May 18th-June 15th

Visit Bryant Park for award-winning classical and jazz ensembles performing back to back each week, showcasing works commissioned by Chamber Music America.
