Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos, in Bushwick is known for its amazing homemade tortillas and cheap delicious grub

Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos is a tortilla factory that is also serving up the tortillas with all the fixings to order. When you walk in there is a counter where you pick up a index card to write down your order and if you are staying or going. You bring the index card to the register to pay and if you’re staying you head to find a table. There are a few tables when you first walk in but head around the corner and you’ll be in the much warmer room inside of the factory. Although Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos doesn’t serve alcohol it is BYOB so feel free to head over with a six-pack of Coronas and stay for a while.

Let’s Talk Food – Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos

I ordered the Bistec Torta, essentially a steak sandwich on a crusty roll with queso fresco, avocado, lettuce, sour cream and pico de gallo. I added a ton of their salsa verde, which had just the right amount of heat for me. The whole sandwich only cost $4.50! The torta was just enough dinner for me on that particular night, but if you are hungry I would definitely suggest ordering a little more.

Their quesadillas look a lot more like giant tacos then the typical quesadilla. They are totally stuffed with all the goods and grilled lightly on each side. Some complain that they aren’t cheesy enough so consider ordering with extra if you’d like. Anything you order at Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos will come fully loaded with avocado, salsa, lettuce and more.

Authentic Mexican

There are lots of claims that Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos is one of the best places to get authentic Mexican food in NYC. I definitely do not have the authority to either confirm or deny those claims but I can say that they have awesome food that is one of the best deals of anywhere in the city.
