If you love great BBQ and Live Music (who doesn’t) and you are not afraid of crowds then the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is the place to be this weekend. Entering  its 13th year in Madison Square Park, which is located on 23rd street in view of the Flatiron Building and Empire State Building, will be some of the  finest Nationally acclaimed  Pit Masters, such as Jean Paul Bourgeois of Blue Smoke NYC, Tim Love from the Woodshed Smokehouse, Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas, Jimmy Hagood of Blackjack Barbecue Charlestown, North Carolina and Drew Robinson of Jim N’Nick’s Bar B-Q Birmingham, Alabama  to name just a few of the 17 masters who will be  cooking up the best and most diverse style of Barbecue for our eating pleasure. To add to the enjoyment of eating great barbecue outdoors, in the middle of the greatest city on earth, there will also be live music from bands such as the Reed Turner Band, Shook Twins and Whiskey Shivers to name just a few. If all of that isn’t reason enough for you to want to go I’ll add one more… It is a charity event to benefit the Madison Square Park Conservatory, a non-profit organization. Oh and don’t forget you’ll have bragging rights among your friends for whose City does the BEST Barbecue!
